Gunilla Bergström is the author and the illustrator of Alfons Åberg / Alfie Atkins. Alfie Atkins is a classic among children’s literature today. Since the first book was published in 1972 more than twenty-five stories about Alfie and his world have been published. They are often psychological everyday life mini-dramas where children are taken seriously. Humor and magic in the midst of reality are common story features.

Alfie Atkins has been translated into approximately thirty different languages and is continuously published in new editions. Roughly five million Alfie books have been printed for the Swedish market alone.

Astrid Lindgren is Sweden’s most beloved author. She renewed children’s literature and combined artistic integrity with commitment to the rights of children and young people.

Her works have benn translated into more than 90 languages. The Swedish government has founded an international award in her name, The Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.

Raben & Sjögren Agency holds the rights to all of Astrid Lindgren’s picture books – illustrated by many of the leading Swedish artist; such as Ingrid Vang Nyman, Ilon Wikland, Björn Berg, and Marit Törnqvist.

Jockum Nordström is one of Sweden’s most acclaimed artists.He has had several exhibitions across the world and has also created picture books for children – among others the five books about Sailor and Pekka.

In a unique arrangement with the Tolstoy Estate, Jockum Nordström has created brilliant new illustrations for Lev Tolstoy’s fables, published 2018.

Emma AdBåge is one of the most popular illustrators in the young generation of artists. She made her debut in 2001 and has since illustrated many children’s books, both her own and stories by other authors.

Emma AdBåge’s books are well received by the readers as well as the media and publishers in many countries.

Pernilla Stalfelt is one of Sweden’s most daring and interesting authors of children’s books. Since her debut in 1996 she has, with her ability to handle difficult subjects in an intelligible and joyful manner, created picture books for all ages. Her work has received much attention and has delighted the public as well as the media.

Pernilla Stalfelt is known mostly for her non-fiction series which has met with great success in Sweden and in the rest of the world. The series started with Hårboken (The Hair Book) in 1996 and with Tidenboken 2017 now consists of more than 10 titles.

Jujja Wieslander is one of Sweden’s most loved children’s books creators. She is a master at turning the very simplest of everyday events into grand adventures in the world of young children.

With Sven Nordqvist, Jujja Wieslander has created the world-famous picture book characters Mama Moo and Crow.

Barbro Lindgren is an author whose innovative and multifaceted body of work includes picture books for young childrens, children’s poetry, plays, realistic fiction for young adults, and more absurd prose stories. In all, sha has published over a hundred titled, translated into more thatn thirty languages.

Barbro Lindgren has co-operated with many of Sweden’s most famous and beloved illustrators, among others Eva Eriksson, Olof Landström, Eva Lindström and Pija Lindenbaum.

In 2014 Barbro Lindgren received the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award.

Carl Johansson is a graphic designer who lives in France. He made his debut 2015 with the successful Carls Billexikon (All Kinds of Cars) which has been sold to twelve countries.

His books are imaginative and has just the right tone for the youngest readers. A new series of board books focusing on all kinds of vehicles on wheels will soon be published.
